Latitude E6430 Bluetooth not working

My Dell Latitude E6430 Bluetooth is not working. Before it worked fine when I first received the laptop but suddenly stopped working. When clicking on "Show Bluetooth Devices" from the task bar, the window pops up and never stops loading showing nothing at all. When selecting the "Add a Device" option, nothing shows up at all and I have tried a few other Bluetooth devices making sure they are discoverable. Even after uninstalling the drivers and re-installing (below versions), it still does not work.

Running:

Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1

Intel Core i5-3320M

Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) #2 - Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385

Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #2 - Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385

Hi zumas36,

Thanks for the post! I would first suggest making sure your BIOS is up to date with the latest released on the Dell support site: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04 and making sure that the Bluetooth device is enabled in your systems BIOS.

If Bluetooth stopped working around the time of a software installation or update try uninstalling / rolling back the operating system installation to a time you knew the device worked properly, also testing the device in safemode with networking should also help to pin down if software is interfering with functionality.

Make sure you have all of your drivers up to date. This link helped me.

You can try to download and update the bluetooth drivers for Dell Latitude e6430 from here: www.driverdr.com/.../dell-latitude-e6430-drivers-free-download

I have the same issue with e6430u.

Unresolved to date.

I had the same problem. I used the manual to figure out how to take the card out to see if there was a loser connection. I found I out the some wires had come out of place on the connector, so I used a flathead to fix it. Now it sees devices, but has trouble connecting. It sounds to me like you had the hardware problem I had, but not the software problem, as the os is the one that came with the pc. My problem is that I can’t get it to work with Windows 10.

tl;dr: check the Bluetooth chip connector.
