Max download speed for 802.11n

I have a mid-2010 Studio XPS 9100 with a DW1525 (802.11n) WLAN PCIe Card that is maxing out at 50 mbps. Comcast technician showed 100 mbps from the router  {150 mbps  service).

Win 10 x64. Is it possible to realize higher download speeds?

Thank you.

ARNE286,

Your computer needs a Windows 10 driver for the card. Unfortunately, Dell does not have any Windows 10 drivers for this computer.

Try this driver its from a newer Atheros wireless card. In the setup information file the hardware ID for the Dell Wireless 1525 card is also listed so it should likely also update ethe driver for this card:

Slight improvement. I had an electrician run an ethernet cable from the Comcast gateway to the next room. Now the computer will download at 180 mbps (150 mbps advertised).

here are other newer Win10 atheros wifi driver versions to try out for the DW1525 wireless card - found them inside QCA9565 wifi driver packages from Dell:

v10.0.0.355 A10

v10.0.3.456, A11
