Missed HotSpot Station driver/app on Windows 8.1

Yesterday I updated my Inspiron 7520 to Windows 8.1, but the HotSpot Sation app (installed along with the Dell driver Wireless 1703) doesn't work anymore!

Does Dell Wireless 1703 update driver for Windows 8.1 have the HotSpot Sation function?

Hi alexgomes,

Yes, updating the wireless driver should resolve the issue. Please click on the link below and update the driver:

The driver woks fine. But the HotSpot Sation (related in this post http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19464671.aspx) is still missed!

Hi alexgomes,

There is no separate driver for Hotspot station. However I recommend you to run complete Windows update and check.

Hi Sujatha,

I´m having the same issue, the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell Wireless\HotSpot.exe" that could be seen in this post "http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19464671.aspx

Hi Sujatha,

I´m having the same issue, the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell Wireless\HotSpot.exe" that could be seen in this post "http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19464671.aspx" disapeared after the W8 to W8.1 update, I´m able to compare to another machine, same model, in our office that still run the W8 .

Hi Sujatha,

After the installation of both dirvers in the order that appears in the site and with a reboot after each installation the HotSpot is finally installed.

Best,

Hugo.

Hi Hugo,

Did you mean install "DW1703_DW1901_Win8.1_A00_Setup-7FPWR_ZPE.exe" first and then install the "Network_Driver_7FPWR_WN_10.0.0.263_A00.EXE" ???

Thanks,

Alex.

Hi Alex,

I think that the second one overwrite the first one, soI think that you should install the second one "Network_Driver_7FPWR_WN_10.0.0.263_A00.EXE", because the HotSpot is one x86 program.

Best,

Hugo.

Try this in Windows 8 or Windows 8.1:
