Network Controller Install Problems

I recently bought a Dell latitude d620 from a college friend who managed to severly lock herself out of the machine. I bought it in hope of reselling and making a little cash. But after installing what I believed to be all of the drivers I still have an uninstalled device that i cant for the life of me figure out. In my hardware configuration it says Other Devices: Network Controller. I have tried installing everything from the drivers page that has to do with networking and nothing seems to fix this problem. Anyone have an idea what it may be that is not installing?

It may be that your college friend reformatted the hard drive and did not install the post OS installation drivers in the proper sequence?

If this is the case, you'll need to reformat the hard drive and re-install the OS and drivers in the proper order.

Or, it may be a bad network adapter?

Do you have the Resouce CD for the system????

Have you tried installing the drivers from the resource CD??
