Network Dropout (intermittent and consistent) - Dell Inspiron 7347, Win 8.1, Linksys BEFW11S4, Intel dual band wireless AC 7265 adapter

The story: I just bought a Dell Inspiron 7347 tablet/laptop (exchanged for another unit, see below).   Having issues maintaining a solid network connection and when it is connected, it's very slow.   When connected to the wireless router, it holds a connection (slow) for about 3 - 5 minutes and then craps out (limited connection with the yellow "!" over the wifi signal in task bar).  It then comes back up 1 - 3 minutes later.  It's a consistent ongoing cycle.  I've tried resetting the router to factory defaults with no luck.

All other devices on this router (desktop, phone, IPad) all hold the connection no problem at the same time this unit doesn't.

Notable:   Before I bought this tablet/laptop I had bought an Acer Aspire tablet/laptop that had the exact same issue on my network.  I returned that unit for other reasons (build quality etc) but it had the same OS (Win 8.1).  I don't know if it had the same network adapter installed.

What I've tried:  Cycling the router - Cycling the modem - Resetting the router to factory defaults - Disabling U-APSD on the network adapter - Slapping myself hard - Offering small animals to the gods...

What I tried to try:  Attempted to update the drivers for the Intel adapter using the Intel Driver Update Utility ( Intel PROset wireless adapter and drivers for Win 8.1) but it kept timing out during download because...THE NETWORK ISN'T STABLE! (ugh!)

The setup:

Dell Inspiron 7347
OS Win 8.1 all updates run

Network adapter: Intel dual band wireless AC 7265

Router: Linksys Wireless-B Broadband BEFW11S4

Running some speed tests on both this laptop as well as other PC's in the house, I found something interesting that seems to indicate that it is this unit and nothing else.   The tests show a very sporadic connection on this unit while at the same time shows solid consistent connection on my dekstop.  I ran these tests at essentially the same time on both.  Note the first one is the laptop (this until) and the second is the desktop.   This was repeated a few times with the same result each time.  Actually capturing a screenshot of the results for the laptop was difficult as the connection dropped out a number of times while running the test.

Thank you very much!!!! I had the same issue on a Inspiron 15 7000 serie (2015) edition. Disconnected the MS bluetooth mouse, and BOOM! erveything ok, and wireless is working perfect.

Back to the logitech unifying mouse...

Intel dual band wireless AC 7265 adapter

Problematic due to the need to save space they integrated the bluetooth and wifi on one card.   One would hope Dell comes up with w fix for this in an update but as of yet. still glitchy.

My 7347 has been exhibiting similar behavior.  I don't have any Bluetooth devices but it was turned on.  Going to give this a shot.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm having the same issue with the same wireless adapter. I have a D-Link 524 router. Went through some quick fixes with Microsoft support on the phone today but nothing worked. I just bought the Inspiron 13 7352 three days ago at Best Buy. I've been trying to get an Internet connection for the last three days and have not had any luck. All I'm getting is limited connectivity with no Internet connection. OS is Windows 8.1
