No WiFi Internet When Lead closed on my Inspiron 3531 Laptop
Using my 1,5 Year old Inspiron 3531 Laptop for internet TV,
And projecting it to Samsung TV by HDMI,
From beginning of May, 2016 Have No WiFi Internet When Lead is closed or it 's very slow, disconnecting and not showing my router on the list,
I can see only my neighbor name,
But when I opening the lead Up, and refreshing HDMI cable,
It' is staring to work just perfect...

Try the steps below to see if they will resolve the issue.
Go to control panel --> network and sharing --> change adapter settings --> right click on connected wifi network ---> properties --> configure --> power management
--> untick allow computer to turn off this device to save power
