Problem connecting XPS 2720 to a LG 47LM760T-ZB Smart TV

I have tried to play some films, photos and music on my LG 47LM760T-ZB smart tv via my XPS 2720. The tv recognizes my pc and my media player on the input screen but will not open them when selected. It just says Error, Missing file. The PC and TV are connected via Wifi and the XPS is running Windows 8.1. No driver disks were provided with the TV. WiDi is also selected on the TV. The TV has the latest operating version and all Windows drivers are up to date. No additional drivers have been installed other than Dell default drivers.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
