Problem with built modem - Dell XPS L501x
Hi
I'm form Poland and my English is very poor so please bear with us. I bought my notebook Dell XPS L501x about year ago, and i had to do a format of system disc "C". I installed all drivers, and nearly all things works super, but not Dell Wireless 5620 EVDO-HSPA WirelessMini-Card or Dell Wireless 5540 Mini HSPA, becouse i dont't know which is a modem to sim cards. I installed drivers to this modems, but when i put a card to slot, and run a computer, program - Dell Mobile Broadband utility show me message: "Nie wykryto urządzenia" - Eng. Not Detected Device. When i run a manager devices i see there one unknown device. I think that is a modem, becouse it's not on the list of network cards... When i want install a drivers to this device automatically, system show me a message that cant find a drivers to this device... I tried install drivers from dell web site a lot times but it doesnt work...
Please help me, becouse it's very important for me.
Thanks
Mateusz(Matt/Mathew) B.

Mateusz,
It looks like it's an empty slot.

Are you sure you have HSPA miniCard?????
It is an OPTIONAL item that you must pay extra for. Just becuase you have a SIM slot means NOTHING.

I've got two wireless by dell system configuraction:
LACZNOSC BEZPRZEWODOWA : WERSJA EUROPEJS - Wireless : version European
LACZNOSC BEZPRZEWODOWA : WERSJA EUROPEJS - Wireless : version European
but there's no information about model. First probably is a WiFi Intel WiFi Link 1000BGN, but i don't know what is a second wireless... Maybe Dell Wireless 5540 Mini HSPA or Wireless 5620 EVDO-HSPA WirelessMini-Card. How can i check this?

but i'm in Poland(Europe) and i havent got any informations about model there cards/modules... I can see only "LACZNOSC BEZPRZEWODOWA : WERSJA EUROPEJS - Wireless : version European
LACZNOSC BEZPRZEWODOWA : WERSJA EUROPEJS - Wireless : version European"
And it's the end. If you can, check this serial number:"< ADMIN NOTE: Serial no. removed per privacy policy >".Maybe in USA's website you can see more informations about this notebook.

I have no idea.
I don't see that you have a HDSPA card for that Service Tag. All it shows is a Intel wifi card.
As I told you above, a SIM slot means nothing. HDSPA is an option which you did NOT pay for.
You bought it in Poland. You need to contact Dell in Poland.
