Removal / replacement of internal modem (Inspiron 600m)

Can the the Broadcom modem that seems to built into this laptop be removed?  Is it modular?

Judging by where the connector is located on the back of the laptop, there seems to be no access panel under or near it, so I'm wondering if this modem is modular or if it can be accessed, removed, and replaced with an alternative type.  The modem (BCM94154M) seems to be a PCI device according to control panel, (or maybe it's an AMR modem?).
