Should i trust this working wireless netgear usb drive my bro found in the trash?

Well my bro and his friends went garbage picking and he found a hole computer system, A dell moniter (old one) a dell keyboard, a hard drive (not sure if it works) and a wireless usb netgear drive, It works perfectly but should i be worryied? It's kinda wired that someone was throwing a working wireless usb out.
