Software Updates Causes Wireless Connectivity Issue Or Unable to Connect to Internet
Hi,
Due to a recent McAfee software update or Microsoft Windows update some computers are losing Internet connectivity. If you are not unable to access the Internet, use the link below to restore connectivity.

Thanks for this Post. I decided to use the Forum after I determined that my laptop could not access the internet through either a wireless or direct-ethernet connection. Following the directions in the above Link immediately corrected the problem.

Hi
I have bought inspiron 14z ultrabook, windows 7 home edition .
I have tried above link to fix the issue and also unstalled macafee antivirus but I am still having same problem. I am loosing internet conenction after 2-3 min on connection.
Very disappointed and disatisfied by this as i have paid a lot and waited long for delivery.. It wont allow me to check my email either.
I can still return my laptop but before doing that is there any way we can fix this?

This fix seems great for those with McAfee still installed, but I uninstalled it months ago when it began affecting connectivity. Now I just have Microsoft Security Essentials and it seems like a Windows update may be the culprit. Any fixes from the Windows side other than uninstalling recent updates?

I am in the same situation. I got a N5010 day before and have been running into WIFI issues all the time. I have 2 other laptops and a tablet connecting to my router and running just fine. This is what i tried so far
Tried applying the McCafe fix. Did not work, so uninstalled it entirely - Did not resolve the problem
Uninstalled Driver and Reinstalled - Did not resolve the problem.
Turned off firewall and checked for one hour - same issue.
I am highly disappointed and i just don't want to return my laptop because of WIFI issues. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

I have the exact same problem with a e6330 with both cable and wireless. I have tried install/uninstall, activate/deactivate, failsafe with network, static/dynamic. I havent got mcafee but avast, allthough running with everything disabled, and windows firewall off. Just got the laptop back from 4 weeks of broken motherboard and now this...

I`ve the same issue but I don`t have McAfee. How can I solve this? The post said "or Microsoft Update" but I can only see a solution for McAfee users. Please, help me!
