Studio 1555 WiFi Driver Failure

About 2 months ago, I updated to the Dell recommended driver for the wireless NIC on my laptop: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats?DriverId=R246753&FileId=2731129104

However since then, every time I reboot my computer I have to wait 5 minutes at the windows login screen. If I don't wait, then when I log in, the WiFi driver will lock up and not connect to anything and also prevent windows from performing certain operations including shutting down. This is not normally a problem because I usually hibernate my computer, and the issue only occurs when I log in for the first time after a reboot. However, when I install an application and have to reboot, it is quite a hassle.

I've tried to rollback the driver to a previous version. But device manager has rollback grayed out. And I can no longer use system restore, because I didn't notice the issue soon enough (remember I hibernate a lot).

I've also tried to update to the latest version of the driver as recommended by Intel: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/wireless

However, this created even worse problems. Causing my computer to crash after log in and immediately reboot, no matter what. So I system restored back to the one from Dell.

Any suggestions for fixing this?
