Thanx a ton. With the help of provided links I was able to download wireless network drivers for Windows 7 32 bit OS  on  my dell inspiron N5010 laptop.

Dell official website avails free downloading of  drivers only for 64 bit windows 7 system All   forums  I came across uploaded  links of dell support center and hence did not prove to be of any help.

Links provided by you are quite comprehensive covering all the required drivers. Thank you once agin

Hi ramanji,

Inspiron N5010 is built with a variety of wireless cards. To help you with the correct driver, I need to know the exact card type installed in your computer. To find that information, you may use the system configuration utility from the link : http://dell.to/9Bx54

Enter the service tag of your system -> Click on System configuration tab -> Expand Components tab and share the information here

Inspiron N5010 has been tested by dell with following wireless cards (Capture and share details of the card listed for your system service tag) :

  • Dell™ Wireless 1501 802.11gn 1x1 Half Mini Card
  • Dell™ Wireless 1520 802.11agn 2x2 Half Mini Card
  • Intel® WiFi Link 6200 802.11agn 2x2 Half Mini Card
  • Intel® WiFi Link 6250 802.11agn/WiMax 2x2 Half Mini Card

Once, you are aware of the wireless card in your system, you may follow the steps listed below to download and install the desired wireless card drivers :

Click http://dell.to/QjjZDA -> Enter the service tag -> Select the operating system -> Expand the network category and download/install the required wireless card driver.

Hope this helps. Do reply with the findings.

Hi  parichawla,

In the system configuration that you have provided only “Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller” is mentioned, which is an Ethernet adapter. Please check for the Device Instance ID of the wireless card in Device Manager. To find the Device Instance ID of the wireless card in Device Manager:

1. Press and hold the Windows Key and then press the R key on the keyboard to launch Run Dialog Box.

2. Type “devmgmt.msc” and hit “Enter”.

5. Expand “Network Adapters” and check if any wireless card is listed here. If any wireless card is not listed here, expand the “Unknown Device” and check.

6. Double click the listed Wireless Card.

7. Click the “Details” tab.

8. Select Device Instance Path or Device Instance Id (whichever is available for your version of Windows) from the drop down box.

9. Make a note of the Device Instance Path or Device Instance ID and add this in your reply.

Hi Zohaib,

Thanks for guiding. I figure out that there is no network adapter for wireless card.

I got the below device instance ID from an  unknown network controller in the device manager.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0083&SUBSYS_13258086&REV_00\4&E814A4C&0&00E1

Please suggest what should i do hereforward.

Regards

Parichawla

Try to download and update the drivers from here. If this doesn’t work please reply with the exact System Model Number of your Dell Laptop.

Inspiron N5010 Windows 7 32 Bit - The Dell Intel Centrino Wireless N1000 driver is here: http://ftp.dell.com/network/R279450.exe

However you are best to get the driver direct from Intel as mentioned above

Thanks for your descriptive message. The problem I am facing is when I enter my service tag the options given for choosing OS are only Windows 7 64bits and Windows Vista 64 bit and DOS. Whereas my machine is enabled with Windows 7 32 bit OS.

So what to do now...?? Plz mail me the details @ Email id removed per privacy policy>
