Win 7 Desktop Bluetooth not detecting Any other bluetooth Item

I inadvertently unpaired my mobile (cell) phone earlier this evening. Now the desktop does not see any other bluetooth items, just searches forever for any devices.

Nor does it respond to pairing requests from the mobile phone!

Also in the com ports tab of Bluetooth settings, when I try to delete the Com ports it states "The specified service does not exist".

It is win 7 Ultimate with SP1 on it.  

I think the theory of what I need is to rip out bluetooth from the PC and re-install it, but I don't know how to and thus: "HELP!"
