Windows 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299) Wireless Issue Fix
There have been numerous reports of Wireless Issues in Windows 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299) Creators Fall Update where a system is unable to connect to the internet using Wireless. Either no networks are seen or only the network you are connected to is seen but you have No Internet. Disabling and Re-enabling the Wi-Fi doesn't work and your only choice seems to be a restart of the computer:
The main culprit seems to be that older wireless cards do not interact well with the Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter. To "fix" this issue one can disable the Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter via the Device Manager.
Right click the Start Button and select Device Manager:
To the top select View and then "Show Hidden Devices":
Now Expand Network Adapters and highlight Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter and select Disable.
In one of my systems I have Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #4 which I will Disable and Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter.
Select Yes:
In my case Disabling Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #4 also Disabled Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter.
Restart your computer and hopefully your wireless issues will be alleviated.

Created an account just to say thanks. I updated Windows 10 and it utterly wrecked my ability to connect to wifi for a couple of days.
I tried around 5 different wireless drivers and even factory reset my entire computer and it didn't work. Furthermore, I was then unable to go back to a previous version other than 1709.
Trying to fix a broken Wifi connection is one of the most frustrating experiences ever. Your wifi is broken, but you can't look up solutions to fix it since you don't have wifi. Your only real option (if you dont have another computer) is to use your small-screened phone. It's brutal. :smileyhappy:

I tried to apply this fix on 1709 and it worked out in the beginning but then I noticed that this breaks the Miracast (Screen Projecting to wireless displays) feature in Windows.
Does someone know if the Windows 10 1803 upgrade possible fix this issue without the need of disabling the "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter" ?

It worked for me for a couple of days and then it went back to getting disconnected :( I'm not sure what to do anymore
