Wireless download speed limited to 1 MBit/sec

Hi,

I have a DELL vostro laptop with a DELL Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini card. The OS is Windows 7, Enterprise, 32 bit.

With wired network connection I get the full speed (7 MBit down, 1.7 MBit up). With wireless network connection, I still get the full upload speed of 1.7 MBit, but the download speed is limited to 1 MBit. With another laptop (Lenovo) I get the full speed with wireless connection. Therefore my wireless router is working perfectly.

I have tried a host of possible solutions on my DELL, but to no avail: Changing channel, setting bandwidth limitation to 0%, disabling IPv6, etc.

I have come to the conclusion that the problem must be either in the network card or some obscure Windows setting.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
