Wireless is sloooow or does not connect at Trade Show
i have an xps 1330 with a Dell 1395 wireless card using an up to date driver Broadcom 5.30.21.0 dated 10/1/2008. Running Win 7 64 bit. Wireless reception is fine everywhere except Mccormick Place, Chicago where I have trouble connecting to anything. Anything being free wireless there, a US Cell phone hot spot or a wireless Junction Box with a Sprint card in it. I've tried rebooting, Disabling, everything short of uninstalling.
If it does connect, it is slooooooooow. Others laptops don't seem to have the probem.
Wireless works fine before and after everywhere else. Any ideas??
Thanks

dwstixgeorge,
Is DHCP enabled?
Virus program and/or firewall?

Rick,
Thanks. I'm not sure what DHCP setting. But it didn't seem to be firewall(Win7) or virus scan (AntiVir). Yesterday I was able to get in but still slow. I'm done with the show and it works fine everywhere else.
Thanks for the reply.

David,
It could have been their setup, really hard to say. If many people were on, that could also cause problems. Glad it works everywhere else, so it's not the DHCP setting.
Take care,
Rick
