XPS 8700, doesn't see WIRED 5.0GHz FiOS network?

I've seen this question asked a lot of times about WIFI. But I'm using an ethernet network. I know it's possible that my computer doesn't work with the faster speed, but I'm trying to see why it will only find the 2.4GHz network? I have a newer Dell sitting right next to it that sees the 5.0GHz network just fine coming from the same switch. Is there a test I can do or tweak I can make? I have updated the driver.

Just to be clear, you are connecting to the #4 integrated Realtek 8111E ethernet controller in the picture, correct?

Did you go to the 2013 XPS 8700 driver page, choose your operating system and install the latest Realtek 8111E network driver?

You failed to mention what ethernet controller is in the newer Dell or the Dell model?

Hang on, it still shows the 2.4 connection in the description but it's running at 150kb which is the max of my 5.0 so it seems to be working with the 5.0 as 2.4 max's out at 100kb

I have updated the driver as per your method

I also have went to properties and clicked on drivers and checked that the REaltek PCIe GBE Family Controller and it says my driver is up to date.

I have disabled the ethernet connection and then re-enabled and it just finds the 2.4 connection

So only the description is incorrect. If working at that speed, I would not worry about it.
