dell latitude c640 truemobile 1150 will not connect to internet

I recently replaced the motherboard assembly on my c640 and for some reason have not been able to connect wireless to the internet either on an open wifi net or on a secured one. Of the course the device manager says that everything is fine. How can I get this thing to connect?

The laptop can see other networks and can supposedly join them, however will not connect to their internet signal. Any ideas?

Hi hassansr,

Welcome to the Dell Community.

I understand that your computer is able to see networks but unable to join them. As you stated, you have already installed the drivers for the Mini PCI card. I hope you have already checked the configuration of the computer to be sure about the card. I also see that there is a possibility of Truemobile 1150 PC Card.

Kindly try and install the drivers from the following link for the PC Card.

www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats

If you are sure about the it being a Mini PCI card, please try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers from a scratch. If that is successful, we might have to reseat the card.
