factory image not found
I need to resolve some issues by preforming a factory image restore but when i get to the menu that has the option it tells me factory image not found please reinstall. do i have to buy the os or can i get that factory image back somehow? dell inspirion 1525 vista.

I assume you are either pressing CTRL/F11 or F8 at boot up (depending on OS). If the Dell recovery partiton is missing or corrupted you will have to do a manual install. If you don't have the discs and are in the US HERE is the request form for a set of discs.
