wifi constantly drops/disconnects

Hello, I am using an Inspiron 3541 Windows 8.1

My problem is my wifi keeps disconnecting at different intervals. Sometimes it would drop every few minutes and sometimes once an hour at the least. Also, when the wifi drops, google chrome becomes unresponsive and it freezes or sometimes the chrome will turn black. Sometimes the wifi disconnects and gets the yellow exclamation but usually the bars just drop as shown in the picture.

Here is a picture of ipconfig/all to see if I am doing something wrong:

Now these are the solutions I have already tried:

1. I have unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in power management.

2. I have turned on maximum performance in power saving mode in wireless adapter settings in my battery settings.

3. I have tried netsh winsock reset in command prompt(Administrator)

4. I have tried enabling DHCP

Frankly, before we find the solution, I'm not even sure what the problem is and hopefully someone can point out what is wrong. I will gladly give any other information if needed. Thank you.

Hi,

Does the system do this over ethernet as well? Regardless here are some steps to try in this thread (particularly method 2): http://dell.to/2e4syDR

I haven't seen WLAN services cause this behavior directly but it is worth a shot. Unfortunately with all of the steps you have tried it is sounding like it might just be a bad card. One more thing to try again would be completely deleting the wireless card drivers and re-installing them, you can also try the online Dell diags (both driver and diags) can be found here by entering your service tag: http://dell.to/2e4rGPF

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your assistance. I have tried the online Dell diags and it said this:

System is out of warranty. Please contact Dell Technical Support at 1-800-822-6031 for further assistance with hardware and software troubleshooting.

I am still having the problem.
