wireless problem

I have a Dell Inspiron n5010 that I can't get the internet to work.

I have tried all the drivers on Dell's website. I have owned lots of Dell Laptops and this is the only one that will not work.

The error message is always the same "the adapter is not installed correctly". I have tried more that 10 adapters.

The results are the same with either Windows 7 or Windows 10.

I have a small USB wireless adapter that always works fine.

Anybody have an idea what the problem could be.
