wireless thinks it's disable switched off (flight mode)

Hi all,  I have a vostro 3700 (new in Feb 2011) and it is unable to connect to my wireless network.  The diagnostics keeps saying that it is disable and to use the switch on the front\side of the machine to turn it on.  I have tried the switch in both positions but still the same message.  I have tried to update the driver but the system tells me that it is using the latest drive.  The Lan connection is working fine.

I am beginning to think that there is physical problem; does anybody have any suggestions?
