N1500P Switches and PowerConnect 6200

Hello,

i have had four Dell PowerConnect 6224 switches for the last four years and still running. These are configureed and stacked together with VLANs.  Now due to budget constraints we cannot afford to buy some more 6200s. i have in my stock N1500P switches. I was wondering how i can add the N1500P to the stack since i have run out of port space on the 6200s.The 6200 are stacked using stacking cable giving me a 10GB backend between the switches. Now is it possible to add the N1500P series and if so how do i go about it?

Only like model switches can be stacked with one another. You will not be able to add the N1500 to the 6200 stack. You can connect the stack of 6200 switches to the N1500 using the Ethernet ports. You could then use link aggregation if you needed more throughput.
