N2000 series. More than 2 mirror ports???

Hi,

Can you private message me the service tag so I can look up the system details?

Active firmware version is 6.3.3.10. Most recent as far as I can tell.

I have 2 more of these switches in another location that are combined as one switch and I have 3 ports configured for that setup but the 3 ports are spread across the 2 switches. Awhile back I attempted to setup 3 ports and got the same fail as above but I was able to move connections to the other switch and that resolved that issue.

Are you mirroring individual ports or a whole vlan? Have you tried configuring from CLI instead of from the GUI?

Hey Josh I have the tag but not sure how to PM you.

I just tried this:

(config)#monitor session 3 mode

It took the command but nothing happened and the gui still shows session 3 disabled.

Configuration shows:

monitor session 1 destination interface Gi1/0/18
monitor session 1 source interface Gi1/0/1
monitor session 1 mode
monitor session 2 destination interface Gi1/0/19
monitor session 2 source interface Gi1/0/21
monitor session 2 mode
monitor session 3 destination interface Gi1/0/20
monitor session 3 source interface Gi1/0/25

No "mode" for 3

Can you attach the running config?

What happenes if you do

 monitor session 3 mode

• Up to 4 sessions with egress (TX) traffic mirroring may be active. • Up to 2 sessions with both (RX and TX) traffic mirroring may be active

It is capping you at 2 because it is both transmit and receive.
