fiber link errors

I connecting a 5324 and 3348 with dell fiber modules. One of modules is recieving a high amount of "Internal MAC Receive Errors". If I switch the fiber pairs, the errors show up on the opposing module - so i believe it isn't a hardware issue.

What could cause these errors on a fiber link?
