Computer froze totally by virus
i am sending this message on my dell laptop. (Latitude D510). my question concerns my Dell Dimension 3000 with Windowns xp installed. I somehow do believe I have a virus on the Dimension that won't give me no assess at all. It comes up slow, and when it comes up finally, I am unable to naviagate with my mouse cause it has been frozen. I tried a new mouse and it too is frozen. I tried to run in SAFE mode but all i got was a bunch of Window errors downloaded. So that failed too. I can not get into my anti virus (Mcafee) or internet. Any sujections would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Unfortunately, if it's to the point you say the only alternative is to do a complete reinstall including first reformatting the hard drive.

how do you do a complete reinstall and reformatting of the hard drive?
