Laptop drivers

I have a Dell Insipron 710m laptop.  The keyboard driver is corrupted.  How do I get a new driver to install.  I can't find it at the drivers and downloads site

thanks

Your keyboard should work without downloading any drivers. Get out your Operating System disk and put it in your hard drive. If you do NOT have a disk, Request a set of Dell Backup Disks

Start, run or hit the Windows key and the R Key at the same time.

type

sfc /scannow     (space between the c and /)

hit enter. This will make sure the system files are in their origional order.

Usually after you re-install the Orpeating system, you need to go to drivers and downloads and install these drivers in this order.

Desktop System Software or Notebook System Software
Chipset or SMBus driver
Processor Driver (if applicable)
Video
Audio (sound)
Input Drivers (keyboard/mouse)
Modem
Network Card

Windows automatically loads the driver for Keyboard.

Open Control Panel>Device Manager>Click (+) next to Keyboards>Double click"HID Keyboard Device">Click uninstall tab at bottom>Keep Device Manager open and Double click on Standard PS/2 Keyboard>Click driver tab>Click uninstall tab>Now reboot system. When it boots back up windows will load driver automatically.
