(Redirected) XPS 8700 Bluetooth

I have a Dell computer xps 8700.  with Bluetooth. I can pair devices but never connect. Any suggestions on how to get them to connect?  I have done bios and other updates from dell sight but nothing seems to help.  have removed and re-paired but never do they show that they are connected.  Can anyone assist me with this? I have a keyboard and mouse that I would like to connect but have not taken them out of the box yet.
