The 'old forums"
What happen to all the valuable information in all the posts and treads from the old forum board? Is there any way to access the old forums, which contained a weath of information and help?

All those posts have been migrated here (except for a single week starting 10/31); they're just not as easy to find with the current layout/search function.
You can still see the old forum in read-only for a few days yet:

I think you have until November 21, 2008 to get anything valuable off of the Old Dell Community Forums. All the post from the forum have been transfered to the New Forum, you have to do a search for them in the upper right corner. Then after you try searching once, in the upper right corner, on the search page, in the bottom left corner, you'll see More Search Options. Click on that and you can refine the search, if you can get it to work right.
