del all in one printer scanner copier 926
wont print in colour but if i print a test page or clean nossles it prints in colour, also go into properties it shows ink levels but when you write anything and press print then the print menu that appears shows the colour ink to be empty

Can you print a color document on the scanner glass? If so, then let's try this...
Unplug the power cord from the wall. Now remove the power brick for 60 seconds. This reset any error messages the printer is getting. Plug everything back in. Turn the power on. Open the printer and take out the black Dell Series 9 ink cartridge. Make sure the tape is completely off it and put it back into place. Do the same for the color cartridge. Now when you close the printer, it will print an alignment page. Any error messages?
Start, control panel, printers, printer preferences. Make sure the print in black & white button is NOT checked.
Also check start, control panel, printers, printer preferences, andvaced, more options. Make sure the complete a print boxes are unchecked.
What happens now?
Dell Series 9 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.
Dell Series 9 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.
