help for my inspiron 9100 that does not turn on any more.
After several months of inactivity, my laptop inspiron 9100 does not turn on any more. The AC adaptor turns off as soon as it is plugged on to the lapto. It is as if there was a short circuit in the computer.

The mainboard is faulty - it will need to be replaced. On a model this old, that may not make economic sense.

Thanks for your clear answer. Do you know how can I recover my data? I do not have a recent backup.
