sonic activation module

When I start my XPS M2010 windows is trying to install this sonic activation module. The only way to stop it is to end the task.  Does anyone have any suggestion on how to stop this irratating problem

Remove the sonic program from your Startup folder or just go ahead and run it.

Try this hofix posted by Dell:

If that doesn't work, look in Add/Remove programs for Sonic Update Manager and/or Sonic Activation module and remove them;  if they still pop up,  the Windows Installer Cleanup utility can clean up the remnants.
