transferring data in Vista

I am new to Vista and finding it murderously hard work.

I started operating as Administrator, but would now prefer to work without administrator rights, for safety reasons.  Problem is getting access to my data accrued in the Administrator account.

I started by hacking my way through Vista's procedure for sharing files.  I thought I succeeded, but ended up with a box which displayed the files and folders I was sharing.  It was empty.  So much for that.

I then dragged the Document folders into Public.  No idea whether I will be able to access them on the network once I get that plugged in.

Then comes Outlook.  I have emails and addresses in the Administrator account, but no idea how to transfer them to the Guest account.

By the way, can anyone tell me whether I will - or can - get email notification of replies?
