What are User Points ? Please Explain Me

The points system is used to help determine a persons reputation in the forum. You get points for posts, replies, blog posts, and such. In other words, the more helpful we are on the forum the more points we get.

Copper = entry
Bronze = 6-249 points
Silver = 250-1499 points
Gold = 1500-5999 points
Platinum = 6000-14999 points
Diamond = 15000-750000 points

So, once you have a bunch of points what do you do with them?

Points really have not too much to do with becoming a Rockstar.  That is more about your qualifications and area(s) of expertise.   I've seen Rockstar's with low point counts and conversely I've seen them with thousands of points.
