Win 7 Update to Dimension E520 needs access to BIOS
I upgraded to Win 7 from the much despised Vista and everything seemed to go smoothly except that the PC will NOT shut down. I talked to MS Windows 7 support and they say I need to open the BIOS and change the settings. Does anyone know how to open the BIOS on an E520?

Same as you do on most computers--press F2 at the very first screen as soon as you turn on the computer. Bios is also called Setup. You should get a screen that says F2 for Setup and F12 for Boot Menu. Directions to enter bios and bios settings are Here
. Be very careful when working in the bios. You could cause more problems or make your computer inoperable. You should get someone to help you if you are not familiar with the procedure.
