Integration icon is missing from VC client
Hi All
I've just installed Integration for VC - imported the OVF, installed the VIB package etc.
Hosts credentials for both iDRAC and ESX are succesful.
YES, I can see the plugin icon in the WEB client but NOT on the C# client.
I just installed a new VC farm. on the old one I used to see the icon on the client and also i used to have the DELL tab when the ESX host is selected. this provided me the ability to access the hardware and manage the RAID and other stuff.
can someone please advice on this

From OMIVV 4.0 onwards, only VMware vSphere Web Client is supported and vSphere Desktop Client is not supported.

Is it possible to manage the host via omg plugin, i mean as if i connect to omsa?

OMIVV plugin can manage Dell Hosts from 12th Generation & above, directly with iDRAC, without OMSA support. For 11th Generation & older Dell Hosts, OMIVV requires OMSA support.

I believe R730 is 12 Gen? all i have is a link to open OMSA and login screen.
Isn't there a direct connection?
could you please refer me to some instruction page because i can't find anything ut old verrsions manuals and videos

Hi Mamakas,
R730 is a 13th Generation Dell server. It can be managed by Dell Open Manage Plugin for VCenter.
Kindly visit OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter for the latest manuals.
