7010 no start
This unit sat for a couple of years. I now need it. I had to replace the CMOS battery. When plugged in to power, LED does not light. When I press the diagnostic button, LED lights up solid green, so no physical problems. What to do?

If CMOs battery is already replaced w a brand new cr2032, try clear CMOs settings by resetting RTCRST jumper on motherboard.

RTCRST
- Locate the 2-pin password jumper labeled PSWD on the system board.
- Remove the 2-pin jumper plug.
- Locate the 2-pin CMOS jumper labeled RTCRST on the system board.
- Move the 2-pin jumper plug from the password jumper to the pins on the CMOS jumper.
- Plug the power cable to the computer and wait for 10 seconds for the CMOS to clear.
- Disconnect the power cable from the computer
- Move the 2-pin jumper plug back to the password jumper.

Did not help. Still no green LED upon plug in.

Do you have a spare working 24/4 pin psu from any old desktop to test 7010 motherboard?

Well, I guess it's the MB. Power button would bring PS on. I jumpered PS to bring it on, but nothing from MB.

Are you testing this using the spare working psu or original stock psu?

A spare. I just looked at previous reply. It should have read: power button would NOT bring PS on.

If your spare psu is verified working (not just turning on by itself by jumping pins w paper clip, but powering on another motherboard to POST in a different pc), then consider replacing 7010 MB.
