9010 SFF, separate front-rear audio jack ?

Hello,

I'm using an Optiplex 9010 SFF.

On the rear Audio Jack I have connected the desktop speakers, while in the front I have connected the headset.

If I connect the front audio jack, the rear audio jack is disabled, and so I cannot keep the headset always connected and ready to use without muting the desktop speakers, rather I need to plug the headset jack everytime I need to speak.

On other PCs I usually have the front and rear audio on two separate audio channels, and this give a simpler use with the headset always plugged, and without having to reach the cabinet under the table every time you need to use it.

Is there any workaround or solution to manage the two audio channels independently ?

Regards

Pietro

I've never seen that to be common. But regardless ... this should work.

USB Sound Card

You can switch audio devices from Speaker icon in TaskTray.

Thanks, seems a brilliant idea.

I will buy one.
