Asus GT710 LP not seen by Optiplex 390

I've read lots of messages on this forum but I could not find any solution.

I am plugging an Asus gt710 low profile into my optiplex 390 low profile.  bootThis Atpc upgot an Intel integrated video card. Asus card is not detected, not seen in pci slot in bios and not seen in Windows. I have black screen if booting vga connected to Asus card.

Bios is version A14 updated in Sept 2019.

Simple question why bios is listing 4 pci slots as empty although card is in ?

Is it normal ? Anybody using gt710?

Thanks

Lewis

With the PC powered off and the new video card installed, open the case and locate the 2032 coin cell battery on the motherboard (CMOS memory power).  Remove the battery for at least 10 minutes, reinstall and see if this reset helps.  Considering age of the PC if this battery has never been replaced, consider replacing it.

many 710 720 730 cards are X4 or X8 and not compatible.

The other issue is that 75W cards are NOT supported with the default 250 to 290W power supply for 390 790 990.

Only 40W or less cards like radeon 3450 5450 are supported.
