As previously noted the only Windows Firewire driver is the default Windows/Microsoft driver. If that doesn't work, what you have is incompatible.

The only firewire driver is the default Microsoft/Windows driver. No 3rd party drivers.
The default driver works for me, on Win 10, with an add on firewire card. I use firewire in my recording studio.
