July 25th 2011 glitch

I am on my Dell Optiplex 790, but every time I remove the power cord from the PC, its time and date will revert back to July 25th 2011, 4:44 AM instead of staying the same.

Could it be the little lithium battery on the mobo has become discharged? They need to be replaced every 5 years or so.

The RTC really is just watch chip (real time clock and calendar ) the T3600 is better I have the 3610 here
