Need SSD advice on a Dell DELL Desktop Computer OptiPlex 3020 Intel Core i5 4570 (3.20 GHz)
Hi. I'm struggling whether to buy MVME SSD to run PCIe through a host card on the PCIe 16 slot. My question is, will my PC boot from it? I don't need it at all, if I can't boot from it. Quite expensive for trial and error. I already have plenty of SATA HDD storage. Thank you in advance for any advice you may be able to provide

The 3020 MIH81R Tigris board does not have an X4 or X8 slot so buying a card is not an option.
You cannot use the video card X16 slot for this.
M2 PCI-E NVME isn't an option anywhere on this board.
The answer is no not now not ever.

Thanks for the reply. I sure was hoping to use that x16. I guess I'm sort of stuck to the sata interface then.
