Optiplex 3020 network adapter missing?

Had to replace a HD & reinstall OS & have no LAN adapter present.

It shows as enabled in the BIOS

Driver installed with no error messages

Plugging in a cable shows activity, yellow & green lights flashing

Nothing present under device manager or in network connections

Not sure if this was an issue previously, as I was given computer with no HD & told to re-purpose it.

Any suggestions?

Running Windows 10

Windows 10 should automatically install all necessary network drivers including LAN for your system.  you said green yellow lights were on which seem to suggest hardware is functional.  did you install Win 10 yourself and was it a clean install?

take a picture of your Win 10 screen right lower bottom and post it.  compare to pic in this link to let us know what the symptom is.

Yes, did the re-install myself & it was a clean install My network status pic is the one indicating 'You’re connected to WiFi and the Internet.', since I currently had to install a wifi card to get network access. Diagnostics doesn't even have a network adapter listed. You’re connected to WiFi and the Internet.
