Optiplex 3020 - power cut problem

Expert advice please!

After a loss of mains power, my 3020 tower PC auto powers up when power is restored. This is OK if during daytime, but it can & does happen at night.

How do I set the PC to remain off after a power cut?

Many thanks, Niloc1017

Enter into the BIOS after power on with the F12 key.

Search under "Power Management" "AC Recovery" and select "Power Off".

Hi tibi500cid - thank you so much for not only a quick reply, but a nice easy to understand answer.

Much appreciated, I'll try that tomorrow when I power up, & go into the BIOS.

Best regards, Niloc1017

Hi tibi500cid - my Optiplex 3020 is now set to NOT power back on after a power cut!

I'm not trying to be clever, but I found that pressing f12 brought up the boot menu. It was f2 that got me into the BIOS. Hope you don't mind me mentioning it.

I did appreciate your help though. Thank you. Kind regards, Niloc1017

Yes, You are right, I messed it up, sorry!

F2 goes into BIOS, on some Optiplexes with F12 You can choose a lot of things, Boot Menu, Enter Bios or Diagnostics and so on.
