Hi Derwaish
What is the new system that you are trying to install the GeForce 7300 in? Which OS is it running? What was the other GPU that your friend had?
thanks,

PCI-E 1.0 cards are not compatible with PCI-E 2.1 bus. The 7300LE is a DDR2 card and the 780 is DDR3. The onboard Bus timing is totally different. Recommended Video card update is a Directx 11 card EAH6450 SILENT Single Slot card.

The stock card for these units is a DDR3 PCI-E 2.0 AMD Radeon HD3470 256M and is supported on Optiplex 580/960/780 that are running the following Windows Operating Systems: XP, Vista and Windows 7.
For Desktop and USFF ATI Radeon HD3470 Low Profile C120D U620G

For Mini Tower W459D ATI Radeon HD3470 256MB 102B4031900

You also need DisplayPort to DVI Single Link Adapter DP/N: 0KKMYD

or Display port to VGA 5KMR3

If you are trying to use both onboard and a video card you will see the following on the screen.
Attention: Unsupported Video Configuration Detected
System halted!
Attention: Unsupported Video Configuration Detected
Action is Required
This computer has an add-in graphics card, but the monitor is plugged
into the integrated video connector.
To attach the monitor cable to the add-in graphics card:
1. Shut down the computer
2. Plug the monitor cable into the add-in graphics card connector.
This may require a video adapter or video adapter cable.
(provided with the system)
3. Turn on the computer.
This message should not appear after completing these steps.
For more information or help, please refer to the system documentation

@Derwaish so you had an Optiplex 780 and replaced it with a different 780 is that correct? What type of graphics card did your friend have that you tested in your system? Can you check the BIOS under General > System Board to see if the graphics card appears in the PCI information section? One more thing to check is the Video > Primary video option on the BIOS.
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks,
