Which BIOS for Optiplex 7050?

The best thing to do is nothing. You are up to date on bios which must be from Dell. You could brick your computer by messing with the bios. 

Thanks for the response, but no - bios upgrade recommendations by Dell should be followed. Modern BIOS installation files from Dell are generally pretty stable, so there is little chance of completely hosing a computer during a bios upgrade unless the power goes out during the process. BIOS upgrades are usually created to fix hardware related problems, so your PCs could be operating well below normal if you don't ever upgrade bios and drivers. To your initial point, I'm not "messing" with the bios. I'm trying to determine what to make of a conflict between Dell's recommendation to downgrade from a version while they make that same version available online.

A Dell tech has verified that 1.11.1 should not have any problems, so this is probably a Quest SMA error.
