Power Adapter problem

Greetings,

Just recently I purchased the Inspiron 11 series-3147 2 in 1 convertible for my husband. He just had a problem with the power adapter. It has been working fine and then yesterday he took it out and hooked up the power adapter to charge it. The green light was on the adapter-but the laptop got a message on it that it did not recognize it. That is the same adapter that we have been using-so what could the problem be?

Can you give me a description along with type etc of the one that is supposed to be with it? I can then check to assure myself that it is the right adapter.

All I know is that it is supposed to be a 65W.

I would appreciate any help on this.
