2x RAID5 possible on PE610?

I want to set up a PE610 w/ 2x 4-drive RAID5 arrays.  That doesn't come as a configuration option when purchasing the server, and I'm having trouble getting a definitive answer as to whether that's possible.

Does anyone know for sure (or has done it) whether it's possible to set up a PE610 this way, preferrably with the PERC6/i controller?

Thanks!

As long as you can fit 8 drives into your server, then yes, the PERC can set up and manage two 4-disk RAID 5's.

To add to theflash1932; as the R610 doesn't support more than 6 x 2.5" drives, I assume you are talking about the T610. This model supports either 8 x 2.5" drives or 8 x 3.5" drives (source: Tech specs tab here).

Assuming that's the server you're looking at and you get an appropriate raid controller (PERC6i or PERCH700), you can indeed run 2 4-disk raid 5's.

Keep in mind that unless you change to UEFI, you cannot boot to a virtual disk larger than 2TB (2048GB). UEFI will require an OS that supports this. Common choices are Windows 2008 x64, Windows 2008 R2 and RHEL6. Common OSes that don't support UEFI are Windows 2003 (any version), Windows 2008 x86, RHEL 5.x (and older) and VMware ESX/ESXi (any currently available version).
