Adding a hot spare to an existing array
I'm testing a new T340 with 8 drive bays and a Perc H433 card. I've created a raid 1 array for OS and a raid 5 (with 4 1TB dives) for data. I'd like to add a 5th 1TB drive as a hot spare, but I can not find a way to add it. Can it be done and how?

I assume you have H330 controller as there is no H433 controller. Please confirm.
You can either add Dedicated Hot Spare (Hot spare disk will be assigned to one of the two RAID only and hot spare become active only any single disk failure on that RAID array) or Global Hot Spate (Hot spare disk will be assigned to any of the RAID on the controller and hot spare become active when any single disk failure on that controller). You can choose between these.
You can assign hot spare to the controller using PERC BIOS Configuration utility, iDRAC or OMSA. Below link have details on the same. To configure storage using PERC BIOS configuration utility you need to reboot the server and to use OMSA you need to install open manage software on the server. You can try configuring storage using iDRAC which does not require any reboot or installing any application on the server. Below link have details on configuring hot spare using various methods.

You are correct, it is a H330 controller. I'd be OK with a hot spare devoted to just one of the drive arrays.
I've been doing everything through the LC and I seem to remember seeing a place to check for a hot spare, but maybe that's only available when you are building the array. Looks like I have some home work to do. Thanks

Then you need to assign a Dedicated Hot Spare(DHS) for the virtual disk for which you need hot spare. iDRAC will be easiest way to assign DHS.
